Special Education Teacher in Oglethorpe, GA

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current state certification in Special Education (or eligibility)
• Experience working with pre-school or early childhood special needs populations strongly preferred
• Knowledge of adaptive teaching strategies for young children with diverse abilities
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for partnering with educators and families
• Commitment to fostering an engaging and supportive learning space

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for pre-school students
• Deliver instruction using adaptive techniques tailored to students’ unique strengths and challenges
• Track and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
• Work closely with classroom staff, specialists, and families to coordinate services and supports
• Create a positive, inclusive environment to foster social, emotional, and academic growth
