Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification
  • Previous experience in special education, either in intensive support or resource/supplemental roles
  • Strong classroom management and individualized instruction skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues, families, and support staff

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver differentiated instruction based on students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Implement evidence-based interventions to address a diverse range of learning needs
  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom culture that encourages student growth and engagement
  • Monitor and document student progress through data collection and ongoing assessments
  • Maintain regular communication with parents, caregivers, and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Uphold compliance with legal and ethical special education practices
