Special Education Teacher in Okatie, SC

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification or eligibility
• Experience delivering instruction and modifications for students requiring Intensive Support or Resource services
• Strong collaboration skills with teachers, families, and student support teams
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Adaptability and a student-centered, inclusive teaching approach
• Commitment to fostering a positive, engaging classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction aligned with student IEPs
• Collect and maintain accurate records, progress notes, and reports
• Modify curricula and lesson plans to meet diverse learning needs
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
• Communicate regularly with parents, caregivers, and co-workers
• Maintain compliance with all district, state, and federal guidelines

Openings are available at the elementary, high school, and middle school levels, supporting both intensive and resource needs. The compensation for this contract offers $70 per hour.
