Make a significant impact supporting elementary-aged students as a special education teacher in a full-time contract position near Olathe, CO. In this role, you’ll guide and support students with mild to moderate needs in a resource or inclusion support setting throughout the 2026-2027 school year, beginning August 12, 2026. Caseload details will be determined prior to your start.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Colorado Special Education License or eligibility via reciprocity
  • Previous experience with elementary school children highly preferred
  • Solid understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance requirements
  • Strong collaboration and communication abilities to work effectively with teachers, parents, and support professionals
  • Comfortable working both onsite and in a hybrid setting if needed

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and academic support tailored to the needs of students with mild to moderate disabilities
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in line with best practices and compliance standards
  • Conduct ongoing progress monitoring, document student outcomes, and maintain all required records
  • Collaborate with general education staff, related service providers, and families to ensure cohesive support for each student
  • Attend IEP and multidisciplinary meetings, contributing expert input on academic, behavioral, and social-emotional interventions

This full-time position aligns with the regular school schedule and offers a consistent and supportive work environment. Onsite candidates are preferred, but those seeking a hybrid schedule may be considered.
