Special Education Teacher - Olathe, CO

Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Special Education Teacher working with elementary students in a mild to moderate resource and/or inclusion support setting. This full-time, contract role spans the 2026-2027 academic year, with your expertise making a significant difference for students who benefit from individualized attention and care.

Your key responsibilities will focus on delivering direct instruction and academic support tailored to each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals. You’ll collaborate closely with general education teachers, parents, and related service providers to foster a supportive, inclusive learning environment. Effective progress monitoring, compliance documentation, and thoughtful participation in both IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings will be central to your success. You’ll play an important part in supporting the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth of students—giving them the tools they need for a lifetime of learning.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Active Colorado Special Education License or eligibility to obtain one through reciprocity
• Experience working with elementary-aged students is highly valued
• In-depth understanding of IEP processes and compliance requirements
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Flexibility to support students in resource and/or inclusion settings

This position launches in August 2026 and continues through the end of the school year, offering a stable, enriching work environment and the satisfaction of making a true impact. Onsite presence is preferred, though hybrid candidates will also be considered.
