Special Education Teacher in Olathe, CO

Key Qualifications:

• Active Colorado Special Education License with an Early Childhood endorsement, or eligibility to obtain via reciprocity
• Previous experience with preschool-aged children is preferred
• Solid understanding of child development and early intervention best practices
• Exceptional communication skills, particularly when partnering with families
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction and developmental support to preschool students receiving special education services
• Develop, implement, and manage IEPs in compliance with district and state regulations
• Monitor student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure compliance with all relevant standards
• Collaborate closely with families, therapists, and a range of school professionals to maximize student success
• Support the growth of students’ communication, social-emotional, behavioral, and developmental skills
• Participate in student evaluations, eligibility determination, and IEP meetings as part of a team
