An opportunity is available for experienced Special Education Teachers to support students from Kindergarten through 12th grade in various classroom settings, including resource and self-contained environments. These positions are based in the Kansas City, KS area and serve multiple schools with a focus on delivering specialized instruction tailored to students’ unique learning needs.
Responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with diverse special education needs.
- Providing instruction in life skills, autism spectrum disorders, medically fragile, behavior support, and specialized learning classrooms as assigned.
- Collaborating with school staff and families to support student progress and well-being.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and state regulations.
Qualifications:
- Active Kansas Special Education teaching license required; proof of licensure must be presented.
- Experience working with a range of caseload sizes (8-18 students) in special education settings.
- Knowledge and skills related to resource classrooms, life skills, autism, medically fragile students, behavior support, and specialized learning communities.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

This contract opportunity begins ASAP through 5/22/26 and offers a compensation range of $60-$70 per hour, commensurate with experience.
