Special Education Teacher - Olathe, KS

A contract opportunity for Special Education Teachers is available for the 2026-2027 academic year, serving K-12 students in a positive and collaborative educational setting. Positions are open across a range of grade levels:

• 10 openings in Elementary School
• 5 in Middle School
• 4 in High School
• 2 for Bridges (Alternative School Program for all grades with a focus on severe behaviors)

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current, active Kansas teaching license for your respective grade level is required (must be verified prior to consideration)
• Previous experience working in special education classrooms supporting life skills, autism, or behavior needs is highly valued
• Adaptability and compassion for diverse learning abilities and behavioral needs
• Strong commitment to creating an inclusive, safe, and encouraging learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that empower each student academically and socially
• Deliver instruction tailored to a wide variety of learning styles and behavioral needs
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure students’ needs are met both inside and outside the classroom
• Communicate regularly with families and other stakeholders regarding student progress and strategies
• Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to a supportive professional culture
