Special Education Teacher - Olathe, Kansas

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Current and active Kansas Low Incidence Special Education License
• Previous experience working as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting strongly preferred
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and colleagues
• Commitment to supporting inclusive educational practices

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students with low incidence needs within the LIFT Program
• Manage a caseload of eight elementary-aged students, adapting curriculum and interventions to support each learner
• Monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to ensure comprehensive support
