You’ll work full-time with a manageable caseload of 8 students, providing targeted instruction and personalized support in a collaborative environment. Your commitment will directly impact young lives by fostering independence and achievement in a nurturing classroom.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Kansas Low Incidence Special Education License
- Experience teaching in an elementary school or comparable setting
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach when supporting diverse learners
- Skilled at employing individualized strategies and collaborating with paraprofessionals and related services staff
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instructional content to students in the LIFT Program
- Develop and implement IEPs in partnership with families and interdisciplinary team
- Track student progress and adjust plans as needed
- Foster a positive, structured classroom that prioritizes both academic and social success
- Engage actively in school meetings, professional development, and collaborative planning sessions
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and team members regarding student growth and challenges
