Key Qualifications:

  • Current Special Education teaching credential (or eligibility for credential)
  • Previous experience working with students with special needs in a school setting
  • Strong knowledge of IEP process, compliance, and progress monitoring
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with staff and families
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable classroom environment

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create, implement, and adapt lesson plans accommodating individual student needs
  • Conduct assessments and collaborate in the development and review of IEPs
  • Provide direct classroom and individualized instruction
  • Track and document student progress, making data-driven adjustments as needed
  • Work closely with paraprofessionals, specialists, and families to support holistic student development
  • Maintain accurate records in accordance with school and state requirements
