Key Qualifications:
- Valid Kansas Special Education teaching license required
- Experience supporting high school students with diverse learning needs
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills, partnering effectively with staff and families
- Familiarity with adapting curriculum and instruction to meet individual student goals
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to identified student needs
- Use data-driven approaches to monitor progress, modify strategies, and report outcomes
- Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and related service providers
- Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that encourages learning and growth
- Manage classroom behavior and promote positive, respectful interactions
- Engage with parents/guardians regularly regarding student progress and strategies for support
- Participate in professional development and training sessions as required
