Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher supporting middle school students for the 2026-2027 academic year. This onsite, full-time position offers the chance to make a significant impact within a collaborative Learning Resource Center environment alongside two experienced LRC colleagues. You’ll be serving a caseload of approximately 40 students in grades 6–8, helping foster growth through tailored support and individualized learning plans.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Washington State Special Education License/Certification, or willingness to obtain
  • Fingerprinting clearance through OSPI, or openness to complete the process
  • Experience working with middle school students and diverse learning needs preferred
  • Strong communication, team collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Commitment to full-time, onsite presence during contract dates (9/9/26–6/16/27)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students in grades 6–8 within the LRC setting
  • Collaborate closely with two other LRC teachers to deliver high-quality instruction and supports
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies to meet evolving needs
  • Partner with families, school staff, and related service providers to promote student success
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment for all learners
