Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification for Washington State
• Previous experience in a classroom or school-based setting preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Flexible and adaptable, able to adjust to diverse learning needs
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and adapt lesson plans to meet individualized education program (IEP) goals
• Provide instruction and support to students with special needs in various instructional settings
• Collaborate with general education teachers and other school professionals to support student integration and achievement
• Monitor and document student progress, making adjustments as necessary
• Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom culture
• Communicate proactively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and concerns
• Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives
