Special Education Teacher in Omaha, NE

A Special Education Teacher position is available for the 2026-2027 academic year in an elementary resource classroom setting. This full-time role is onsite and designed to provide dedicated support to students with special needs, fostering their academic growth and social development.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs.
• Adapt general education curriculum to meet the unique requirements of students in the resource classroom.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure student progress.
• Monitor and assess student performance, maintaining detailed records of academic and behavioral progress.
• Utilize various instructional strategies to engage students and promote an inclusive classroom environment.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and IEP meetings as required.

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification.
• Experience teaching in a special education setting, preferably with elementary-aged students.
• Strong understanding of individualized instruction and behavior management techniques.
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
