Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Special Education Teaching certification for NE (or eligibility)
  • Proven experience in resource classroom environments preferred
  • Ability to manage IEP processes and implement specialized instructional strategies
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
  • Dedication to upholding inclusive practices and promoting a positive learning environment
  • Flexibility and adaptability working across elementary and middle grade levels

Responsibilities Include:

  • Delivering direct instruction in resource classroom settings to students with diverse learning needs
  • Developing, implementing, and updating IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines
  • Collaborating with general educators, therapists, and support personnel to ensure student success
  • Monitoring and documenting student progress toward IEP goals
  • Maintaining regular communication with families regarding student achievements and needs
  • Participating in school meetings, professional development, and ongoing training initiatives
