Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification/license as a Special Education Teacher
- Previous experience with middle school students and/or classrooms serving severe disabilities
- Strong understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs) and adaptive teaching strategies
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to create inclusive, safe, and engaging classroom environments
- Willingness to work onsite throughout the entire contract period
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction to students with severe disabilities in a self-contained setting
- Develop, implement, and track progress on IEPs in collaboration with support staff and families
- Foster social, emotional, and academic growth within a nurturing classroom community
- Utilize evidence-based interventions and adaptive resources suitable for diverse learning needs
- Participate in parent conferences, IEP meetings, and professional development opportunities
- Maintain accurate records, document student progress, and adhere to compliance standards
