This contract position is perfect for passionate special educators who want to work directly with students with varied mild-to-moderate disabilities—including learning disabilities, emotional behavior disorders, and mild intellectual disabilities—within a single classroom setting. You’ll deliver comprehensive support and collaborate with a dedicated team in the Oneida, WI community throughout the 2026–2027 academic year.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Wisconsin Cross-Categorical Special Education teaching certification (License #2801) required
- Solid experience supporting students on the autism spectrum
- Background in cross-categorical or multi-categorical special education preferred
- Demonstrated ability to adapt instruction for students with a range of disabilities
- Collaborative approach, working effectively with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide cross-categorical special education services to middle (grades 6–8) or high school students
- Support Individualized Education Program (IEP) development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Collaborate to foster inclusive and accommodating classroom environments
- Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs
- Empower students to achieve academic, social, and behavioral success
- Maintain accurate records and ongoing communication with families and educational partners
