Your expertise will help foster growth and empowerment for students, ensuring individualized goals are met in engaging, safe settings.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience in elementary special education, with behavior endorsement preferred
- Deep understanding of autism, early childhood, or intellectual disabilities (as relevant)
- Ability to develop and adapt instructional materials to various learning needs
- Skilled in collaborating with families, related service personnel, and classroom staff
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment
Role Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver and modify instructional activities based on student needs and IEP goals
- Track progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Develop behavior intervention strategies and support positive student outcomes
- Work collaboratively with other educators and support specialists onsite
- Communicate regularly with families to celebrate successes and address concerns
- Encourage student self-advocacy, growth, and confidence
