In this role, you'll work closely with students in kindergarten through third grade who have specific learning disabilities (SLD), as well as one student with a traumatic brain injury (TBI), tailoring your approach to address their unique challenges and strengths. The setting provides a nurturing community-oriented environment with an emphasis on personalized learning and meaningful student support.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification appropriate for the grade levels served
  • Experience working with elementary students, specifically K-3, preferred
  • Knowledge of supporting students with SLD and TBI
  • Ability to adapt instruction and materials to meet individualized education program (IEP) goals
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group instruction for students with special needs
  • Develop and implement IEPs in compliance with regulations and best practices
  • Maintain accurate progress monitoring and student documentation
  • Work collaboratively with school personnel, therapists, and parents
  • Foster an inclusive, positive, and encouraging classroom environment
