Qualifications & Skills:
- Current LBS1 certification for grades 9-12 required
- Proven experience teaching or supporting high school students, preferably in special education settings
- Strong grasp of individualized education plans (IEPs) and diverse learning strategies
- Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management abilities
- Commitment to inclusive practices and student-centered instruction
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement effective lesson plans aligned with student IEPs
- Adapt instructional materials and methods to meet a variety of learning needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Track student progress, maintaining thorough documentation and timely reporting
- Create a positive, structured environment that fosters student growth academically, socially, and emotionally
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute insights to help guide student success
