The assignment runs full-time from August 14 through the end of September, with possibility of extension.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement (Screenshot of your license required—please add a blank page with your screenshot to the end of your resume)
  • Experience teaching students with special needs, especially in resource settings
  • Familiarity with push-in and pull-out instructional models for ELA and Math
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers and support staff

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized instruction for 4th and 5th graders, serving approximately 8-10 students
  • Provide both push-in and pull-out resource minutes for English Language Arts (ELA) and Math
  • Adapt curriculum materials and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communications with parents/guardians
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture that encourages student growth and engagement
  • Work on campus from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, five days per week
  • Fulfill your assignment with professionalism and flexibility, supporting the school during an FMLA coverage period
