These full-time roles (32.5 hours per week) are located near Orland Park and South Holland, IL, serving schools and programs dedicated to student growth and success.
What You'll Do:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs
- Adapt curriculum and instructional techniques to support a range of learning abilities
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Track and report student progress, making adjustments as needed
- Participate in team meetings and professional development to enhance your practice
- Assist in shaping program details as the classroom needs evolve
Skills & Experience Preferred:
- Valid Illinois LBS1 certification (required)
- Previous experience working as a Special Education Teacher, especially in school settings
- Strong understanding of SPED laws, procedures, and best practices
- Excellent communication skills for working with students, families, and colleagues
- Ability to manage time and documentation efficiently
- Flexible, creative, and solution-oriented approach
