What You'll Do:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs
• Adapt curriculum and instructional techniques to support a range of learning abilities
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Track and report student progress, making adjustments as needed
• Participate in team meetings and professional development to enhance your practice
• Assist in shaping program details as the classroom needs evolve

Skills & Experience Preferred:

• Valid Illinois LBS1 certification (required)
• Previous experience working as a Special Education Teacher, especially in school settings
• Strong understanding of SPED laws, procedures, and best practices
• Excellent communication skills for working with students, families, and colleagues
• Ability to manage time and documentation efficiently
• Flexible, creative, and solution-oriented approach
