Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification required
  • Recent experience in a school setting, preferably working with transition-age students and/or functional curriculum
  • Strong background in developing and implementing vocational and daily living skills instruction
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with support staff, therapy providers, and families
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver instruction tailored to adult learners (ages 18-22) with diverse learning needs
  • Develop individualized transition plans focused on employment readiness, independent living, and community engagement
  • Implement functional academics and real-life skills training in both classroom and community settings
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instructional approaches as needed
