Special Education Teacher | Orland Park, Illinois

An exciting opportunity awaits an experienced Special Education Teacher looking to make a lasting difference in the lives of young learners. This contract position offers immediate placement and runs until the end of May 2027. Serving students from Pre-K through 5th grade in an Early Childhood Center, you’ll be a vital part of empowering children with diverse learning needs for the upcoming years.

Your week runs Monday through Friday, 8:00am–3:30pm, totaling 35 hours and providing you with a consistent schedule and dedicated planning time. In this role, you’ll be collaborating closely with families, support staff, and multidisciplinary teams to craft and deliver meaningful Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to every student’s success. This position truly lets you impact both academic and social development every single day.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Illinois State Educator License with LBS1 Endorsement (required)
• Minimum of 2 years of recent teaching experience in special education (preferred)
• Strong ability to develop, write, and implement individualized educational programming
• Demonstrated collaboration skills with related service staff and families
• Deep commitment to inclusive, student-centered learning environments
