Special Education Teacher | Orland Park, Illinois

We are searching for an enthusiastic Special Education Teacher for a full-time contract opportunity in the 2026-2027 school year. In this dynamic position, you'll work with a caseload of approximately 10-15 students, providing instruction in both inclusion and resource classrooms and contributing to a supportive, collaborative environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with proper endorsements in Special Education
• Experience working with high school youth preferred, but all passionate educators are welcome to apply
• Strong organizational skills for caseload management, including IEP development, documentation, and progress monitoring
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and encouraging classroom atmosphere

Role Highlights:

• Full-time schedule (37.5 hours per week), 10-month contract from August 17, 2026 through June 2027
• Teach 3 inclusion classes and 2 resource classes daily
• Enjoy two preparation periods and a duty-free lunch each day for planning and rejuvenation
• Engage in all aspects of case management while receiving guidance and departmental support from a dedicated Special Education Case Manager
• Participate in IEP meetings and maintain compliance with all relevant documentation
