This contract position runs from October 2026 through December 2026 (with the possibility of extending to January 2027), making an immediate impact where it matters most.

Bring your expertise to a close-knit caseload of just six students, working within both push-in and self-contained environments. With a team-oriented approach, you’ll provide individualized support, collaborate with fellow educators, and ensure students reach their fullest potential.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois State Educator License with LBS1 Endorsement
  • Minimum of two years’ recent experience as a special education teacher preferred
  • Skilled in writing, revising, and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Ability to work closely with related services staff
  • Demonstrated commitment to supporting students with diverse academic and behavioral needs

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging instruction and specialized interventions to K-4 students
  • Manage and document progress on IEP goals, staying compliant with state and federal regulations
  • Foster inclusive, nurturing classroom environments that boost student confidence and achievement
  • Communicate effectively with families, support staff, and administration to advance shared goals
  • Adapt lesson materials and strategies to address individual strengths and challenges
