Special Education Teacher - Orland Park, Illinois

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education
• Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish preferred)
• Previous experience working with elementary students, especially in grades 4 and 5
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Passion for creating inclusive classroom environments and differentiating instruction

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction to bilingual students with identified needs in grades 4-5
• Develop and implement appropriate lesson plans aligned with IEP goals
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary
• Participate in team meetings and parent conferences as required
• Foster a safe, encouraging classroom atmosphere where all students can thrive
