Key Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota Teaching Certification (Tier 3 or 4) in Special Education is required.
- Experience supporting students with emotional and behavioral needs, especially in a center-based setting.
- Deep understanding of evidence-based instructional strategies, individualized education plans (IEP), and behavior management.
- Ability to collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction to students with emotional and behavioral disorders in grades K-5, utilizing research-based methods and IEP goals.
- Develop and implement individualized behavior support plans.
- Work closely with school staff and specialized teams to foster student growth across academic and behavioral domains.
- Create a safe, nurturing environment that welcomes creativity, curiosity, and engineering-oriented learning experiences.
- Maintain accurate records and ongoing communication with families regarding student progress.
