This contract role is focused on providing specialized support to elementary students in a center-based setting, collaborating with passionate colleagues to foster both academic and emotional growth.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota Teaching Certification required (must be attached with your resume for consideration)
- Tier 3 or 4 Special Education certification
- Experience or strong interest in working with students with Emotional Behavior Disorders (EBD)
- Ability to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Skillful in collaborating with other teachers, specialists, and families
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and classroom management abilities
- Commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support for elementary students identified with EBD
- Develop, monitor, and revise IEPs in partnership with teams to meet student goals
- Integrate behavioral interventions and positive supports to facilitate classroom success
- Work proactively with colleagues, families, and service providers to meet individual student needs
- Participate in team meetings, professional learning communities, and ongoing training provided by the district
- Support students’ mathematical, science, and engineering explorations through engaging, project-based learning activities
This is a full-time, on-site contract position running from September 8, 2026, through June 10, 2027, with a 37.5-hour work week (Monday – Friday).
