Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Minnesota Teaching Certification (Tier 3 or 4) in Special Education is required.
  • Experience supporting students with emotional and behavioral needs, especially in a center-based setting.
  • Deep understanding of evidence-based instructional strategies, individualized education plans (IEP), and behavior management.
  • Ability to collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver instruction to students with emotional and behavioral disorders in grades K-5, utilizing research-based methods and IEP goals.
  • Develop and implement individualized behavior support plans.
  • Work closely with school staff and specialized teams to foster student growth across academic and behavioral domains.
  • Create a safe, nurturing environment that welcomes creativity, curiosity, and engineering-oriented learning experiences.
  • Maintain accurate records and ongoing communication with families regarding student progress.
