Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting elementary students in a Developmental and Cognitive Delay (DCD) center-based environment. This contract opportunity offers hands-on work within a collaborative and supportive elementary school setting. Key Qualifications:
- Current Minnesota Teaching Certification (Tier 3 or 4 required; attach proof with application)
- Experience teaching in a special education capacity, preferably focused on DCD or similar populations
- Strong understanding of IEP development, reporting, and progress monitoring
- Ability to build supportive relationships with students, staff, and families
- Exceptional communication abilities and organizational skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality, individualized instruction for elementary students receiving DCD center-based services
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs in coordination with an interdisciplinary team
- Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to foster student success
- Maintain accurate records on attendance, performance, and compliance
- Create a positive, equitable classroom culture that supports social-emotional development
- Attend all required meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities
This contract runs from late August 2026 through early June 2027, following the standard Monday through Friday schedule, with approximately 37.5 hours per week onsite at a centrally located elementary school.
