This contract position focuses on delivering specialized instruction and guidance for elementary-aged children in a DCD (Developmental and Cognitive Delay) Centerbase classroom. Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active Minnesota Teaching License, Tier 3 or 4 certification (must provide credentials with application)
  • Special Education endorsement for elementary-level students
  • Prior experience working with students with developmental and cognitive delays strongly preferred
  • Strong communication skills with both students and colleagues
  • Ability to create a welcoming, inclusive classroom culture
  • Commitment to evidence-based instructional strategies for special education

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver individualized instruction for elementary students in a center-based DCD classroom
  • Develop, implement, and track progress on IEPs for each student
  • Collaborate closely with support staff, therapists, and families to provide a consistent and supportive educational experience
  • Employ positive behavioral interventions and supports
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines
  • Foster an engaging, safe, and respectful learning environment
