Open positions include:
- Special Education Assessment Teacher: Work district-wide to conduct evaluations, support eligibility determinations, and help develop comprehensive IEPs. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure each student’s unique needs are met.
- Special Education Teacher – Setting III/IV (Restore Program): Utilize your experience with significant behavioral and academic challenges in a therapeutic high school environment, providing individualized supports and behavioral interventions.
- ASD Center-Based Elementary Special Education Teacher: Engage elementary students with Autism Spectrum Disorder in a center-based setting. Bring your skills in structuring learning environments, implementing individualized instruction, and collaborating with a variety of professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with IDEA and state requirements
- Deliver specially designed instruction and progress monitoring
- Collaborate with educational teams and families to foster supportive, inclusive classroom environments
- Implement behavioral interventions and classroom management strategies
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in evaluations and team meetings
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
- Active Minnesota Special Education Teaching License (or eligibility to obtain)
- Solid background in IEP development, compliance, and case management
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
- Preferred: Experience in resource, self-contained, ASD, or assessment roles, along with PBIS, FBAs, or crisis intervention expertise
