Step into a vital role supporting students’ unique learning needs in a dynamic school setting. Experienced Special Education Teachers are needed for multiple contract positions for the 2026-2027 academic year, beginning September 8, 2026, and running through June 10, 2027, with a consistent 37.5-hour work week. These are specialized teaching opportunities in Center Based ASD/DCD, Center Based SEL, and Resource classrooms across several elementary sites.

Key Qualifications:

  • At least two years of direct Special Education teaching experience required (other teaching roles such as general education, paraprofessional, or substitute teaching do not meet this requirement).
  • Possession of a current Tier 3 or Tier 4 Minnesota Special Education teaching license.
  • Endorsement in at least one: ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), DCD (Developmental Cognitive Disorder), EBD (Emotional Behavior Disorder), or ABS (Academic Behavior Strategist).
  • For Center Based ASD/DCD roles, ASD or DCD endorsement is mandatory.
  • For Center Based SEL, candidates with EBD, ASD, or DCD endorsements will be considered.
  • Resource positions invite applicants with any of the above SPED endorsements.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction and interventions tailored to support students’ individual needs.
  • Collaborate with related service providers, families, and general education teams.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor progress on IEP goals.
  • Foster a nurturing and structured environment that encourages growth and confidence.
  • Maintain accurate student records and comply with state/federal guidelines.
