This contract opportunity is full-time and spans the entire school year, serving grades from elementary through high school.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Minnesota Special Education Teacher license (Tier 3 or Tier 4 only)
• Proven experience working with Setting 4, or similar high-needs educational environments
• Background in developing and implementing IEPs for students with significant behavioral and developmental challenges
• Strong understanding of positive behavioral support, crisis intervention, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Comfortable supporting students across the K-12 spectrum

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, adapting instruction to meet individual student goals
• Provide direct instruction using evidence-based strategies tailored for complex behavioral and cognitive needs
• Partner closely with support staff, therapists, and families to foster a safe and productive learning environment
• Employ crisis-prevention and de-escalation techniques as needed
• Maintain detailed documentation and participate in required meetings and assessments
