Multiple contract positions are available for the upcoming academic year, offering the opportunity to specialize in both resource and center-based roles, including Developmental Adapted Physical Education. Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a licensed special education teacher
  • Valid Minnesota Tier 3 or Tier 4 Special Education License required
  • Accepted endorsements for resource SPED roles: Academic Behavioral Strategist (ABS), Emotional Behavioral Disorders (EBD), Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), and Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD)
  • Center-based SPED position requires ASD or DCD endorsement
  • Developmental Adapted Physical Education (DAPE) role requires DAPE endorsement
  • Passion for inclusive education, adaptability, and strong communication skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students’ needs
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff for optimal student outcomes
  • Provide direct instruction and behavioral supports
  • Facilitate accommodations, modifications, and assistive technology integration
  • Track and report on student progress with clear data and documentation
  • Engage in regular parent and stakeholder communication
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal special education requirements

Position Highlights

  • Full school-year assignment beginning September 8, 2026, ending June 10, 2027
  • 37.5 hours per week in a welcoming and supportive school community
  • Multiple openings at elementary school locations, including resource and center-based classrooms as well as adapted physical education
