Special Education Teacher - Osseo, MN

A contract opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide onsite services at an elementary setting for the 2026-2027 academic year. Key Qualifications:

• Valid Minnesota Teaching Certification (required for consideration; Tier 3 or Tier 4)
• Experience or strong interest in serving students with developmental cognitive disabilities (DCD)
• Ability to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Skilled in adapting instruction, tracking student progress, and collaborating with related service providers and families
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Organized, self-motivated, and adept at problem-solving in a dynamic environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instructional support to students with DCD across a variety of settings
• Develop, adapt, and implement individualized education programs based on student needs
• Maintain thorough, compliant documentation including IEPs, progress reports, and communication logs
• Collaborate effectively with educators, support staff, and families
• Foster a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment
• Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and required reporting activities

This role offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, approximately 8:30am-4:30pm (37.5 hours weekly, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch), running from late August to early June. Engage in rewarding work while contributing to a positive school community.
