Desired Qualifications:

• Valid special education teaching license/certification (or eligibility for certification)
• Proven experience working with middle school students and diverse learning needs
• Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
• Ability to differentiate instruction and classroom management strategies
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
• Familiarity with various disabilities and evidence-based interventions

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction to students with exceptionalities in grades 6-8
• Develop, write, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student strengths and needs
• Track student progress through data collection and ongoing assessment
• Collaborate closely with general education staff, support specialists, and families to create inclusive learning environments
• Provide consultation and classroom support to ensure accommodations and modifications are effective
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with school, district, and legal guidelines
