Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Kansas (KS) Low Incidence Special Education License is required
- Demonstrated experience working with elementary-aged students with varying abilities
- Strong understanding of special education law, IEP development, and the LIFT Program’s core principles
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt instruction to individual learner needs
- Passion for supporting student development in both academic and life skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for each student
- Deliver differentiated instruction and facilitate skill-building activities in a small-group classroom environment
- Collaborate with general education staff, support personnel, and families to ensure continuity of care and learning
- Maintain accurate student records and progress reports for both academic and behavioral goals
- Utilize evidence-based teaching strategies and foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere
- Support students in developing self-advocacy and independence
