K-5 Grades 6 - 8 Special Education Teacher - Overland Park, Kansas

Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education
• Experience working with students in grades K–5, 6–8, and/or 9–12
• In-depth understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Adaptability and creativity in teaching methods
• Ability to manage a classroom and work effectively with multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities:

• Deliver specially designed instruction tailored to individual education plans
• Adapt curriculum materials to align with varying student abilities
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and family members
• Attend IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing planning
