Qualifications:

  • Active Kansas low incidence special education licensure or Kansas unified special education licensure (required)
  • Previous experience working with middle school students preferred
  • Skills in individualized instruction for students with intellectual disabilities, autism, and multiple disabilities
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and small-group instruction for a caseload of 8 students (grades 6-8)
  • Adapt curriculum and resource materials to meet varied learning and behavioral needs
  • Implement IEP goals, providing both academic and life-skills support
  • Partner with families, paraprofessionals, and specialists to promote student success
  • Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to a positive school environment
