Special Ed Teacher | Oxford, North Carolina

Make a difference in the lives of young learners as a Special Education Teacher working with pre-K students in a supportive school environment. This full-time contract role offers an engaging opportunity to provide individualized instruction and foster growth for a caseload of 13 students with mild to moderate needs. Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teaching Certification (EC – Pre-K or equivalent)
• Successful fingerprinting required for Pre-K classroom compliance
• Prior experience with early childhood special education strongly preferred
• Familiarity with IEP development and progress monitoring
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families and support staff
• Ability to create adaptive and inclusive lesson plans

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to a small group of pre-K students with diverse learning needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Work closely with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and administrators
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress
• Create a nurturing and safe classroom environment
• Maintain compliance with all reporting and documentation requirements
