Make a difference in the lives of young learners as a Special Education Teacher working with pre-K students in a supportive school environment. This full-time contract role offers an engaging opportunity to provide individualized instruction and foster growth for a caseload of 13 students with mild to moderate needs. If you are passionate about early intervention and have experience in special education, this position offers the chance to contribute meaningfully throughout the academic year.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Special Education Teaching Certification (EC – Pre-K or equivalent)
  • Successful fingerprinting required for Pre-K classroom compliance
  • Prior experience with early childhood special education strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with IEP development and progress monitoring
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families and support staff
  • Ability to create adaptive and inclusive lesson plans

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to a small group of pre-K students with diverse learning needs
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Work closely with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and administrators
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress
  • Create a nurturing and safe classroom environment
  • Maintain compliance with all reporting and documentation requirements
