The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7:15 am to 3:15 pm, ensuring a balanced and consistent routine.
You’ll teach at the middle school level in a self-contained, non-severe environment, while also supporting an elementary resource caseload for grades K-5. This role is ideal for educators experienced in meeting diverse student needs and committed to fostering a nurturing and inclusive classroom experience.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility to obtain).
- Demonstrated experience working with self-contained and resource settings, preferably in both middle school and elementary environments.
- Strong classroom management skills and proficiency in IEP development.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities.
- Passion for supporting students with varying educational needs.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated instruction to students in self-contained middle school and elementary resource settings.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Work closely with general education teachers, specialists, and families to ensure student success.
- Foster a safe and welcoming classroom environment.
- Monitor student progress and provide data-driven interventions as needed.
