Special Education Teacher - Oxford, NC

A fantastic opportunity awaits for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to make a meaningful impact at the middle and elementary school level. This full-time contract position extends from as soon as possible through June 4, 2027, offering stability and the chance to work with a supportive community of educators and students. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7:15 am to 3:15 pm, ensuring a balanced and consistent routine.

You’ll teach at the middle school level in a self-contained, non-severe environment, while also supporting an elementary resource caseload for grades K-5. This role is ideal for educators experienced in meeting diverse student needs and committed to fostering a nurturing and inclusive classroom experience.

Key Qualifications:

• Current Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility to obtain).
• Demonstrated experience working with self-contained and resource settings, preferably in both middle school and elementary environments.
• Strong classroom management skills and proficiency in IEP development.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities.
• Passion for supporting students with varying educational needs.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver differentiated instruction to students in self-contained middle school and elementary resource settings.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
• Work closely with general education teachers, specialists, and families to ensure student success.
• Foster a safe and welcoming classroom environment.
• Monitor student progress and provide data-driven interventions as needed.
