Elementary Special Education Teacher

A supportive school district is seeking a qualified Elementary Special Education Teacher for a long-term assignment supporting students in an elementary learning support setting. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with dedicated educators and make a meaningful impact on student success through specialized instruction and individualized support. The district is actively reviewing applications and interviewing candidates for this upcoming assignment. 

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for assigned students.
• Provide specialized instruction and learning support services to elementary-aged students.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation related to academic and behavioral goals.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families.
• Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and parent conferences.
• Implement accommodations, modifications, and evidence-based instructional strategies.
• Create a positive, structured learning environment that supports student growth and achievement.
• Support students with diverse learning needs while fostering independence and inclusion.

Experience:

• Previous experience working with students with disabilities in an elementary school setting preferred.
• Experience with IEP development, progress monitoring, and differentiated instruction is a plus.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills preferred.

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or a related field required.
• Valid Pennsylvania Special Education Certification required.
• Elementary special education and learning support experience preferred.

Employment Type: Full-Time, Contract 

Start Date: November 5, 2026  

Compensation: $35-$50 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
