Qualifications:

  • Current MSDE certification as a Special Education Teacher is required
  • Previous experience in early childhood special education strongly preferred
  • Ability to manage travel between school locations within the workday (candidates must have reliable transportation and no travel restrictions)
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Comfortable adapting instruction to meet diverse student needs
  • Flexible and solution-focused approach to challenges

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized instruction and support to early childhood students with special needs across multiple school sites
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Utilize diverse instructional strategies and assessments to foster student progress
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and school interactions
  • Communicate regularly with families, school staff, and related service providers
  • Engage in professional development and ongoing training as required
  • Ensure scheduling and travel between locations is efficient—travel time is accounted for during your normal work hours
