This position is a full-time, itinerant assignment focused on Early Childhood, designed to allow you to broaden your impact by working across multiple locations within the district, with travel between sites considered paid time.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Valid Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) certification required
- Experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably with Early Childhood populations
- No travel restrictions (must be comfortable with itinerant travel between locations)
- Understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs), instructional modifications, and early childhood development
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct special education services to early childhood students at multiple sites
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual needs
- Collaborate with staff, families, and related service providers
- Accurately document student progress and maintain compliance with regulatory standards
- Offer support and guidance to parents and caregivers
