Desired Qualifications:

• Active Special Education teaching certification
• Experience or strong interest in K-8 inclusion settings
• Background working with students with a broad spectrum of needs, including nonverbal learners
• Knowledge of IEP development and implementation
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
• Adaptability and creative instructional techniques to meet varied learning styles

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement differentiated lesson plans that support individualized education goals
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers and support staff to ensure an inclusive learning environment
• Use flexible communication methods with nonverbal students, such as visuals, AAC, and assistive technologies
• Maintain accurate student records and document progress toward IEP goals
• Foster a positive, supportive classroom atmosphere where every student can thrive
