Embark on a rewarding full-time contract position making a difference in the lives of students with special needs in a supportive educational setting. Begin as soon as possible and continue through May 28th, 2026, serving elementary and middle school students across multiple grade levels.
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to provide instruction and support tailored to diverse learners in inclusive settings, working collaboratively with general educators and other specialists. The caseloads include approximately 10 elementary students (K–4) in an inclusion classroom, as well as a split caseload of about 29 middle school students (grades 7 and 8) that features both an inclusion model and some small group pull-out sessions.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure and teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience supporting students at the elementary and/or middle school level
- Knowledge of inclusion strategies and differentiated instruction
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Effective collaboration and communication skills with staff and families
- Adaptability to work with varying caseload sizes and settings
- Commitment to fostering a positive, welcoming classroom environment
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support for students in inclusive classrooms and small-group settings
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs according to students’ needs and school policies
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and other specialists on curriculum adaptation and behavioral supports
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and district regulations
- Engage with families to communicate progress and strategies for continued growth
- Participate in professional development and team meetings
