Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current New York State Teaching License with high school endorsement
  • Specialized certifications required for working in an ED (Emotional Disturbance) classroom setting
  • Previous experience teaching or assisting in a special education classroom strongly preferred
  • Ability to adapt lesson plans according to IEP requirements and a variety of learning styles
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction to 11th and 12th grade students in a special education, high school classroom setting
  • Develop and implement tailored lesson plans that support individual student growth and academic achievement
