Desired Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification for special education (appropriate for the state)
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Special Education or related field
• Prior experience designing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Familiarity with a variety of instructional strategies tailored for students with disabilities
• Excellent communication, classroom management, and organizational skills
• Passion for advocacy, inclusion, and student-centered teaching

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction in accordance with IEPs and applicable district policies
• Develop, adapt, and deliver engaging lesson plans addressing each student's individual needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure students’ success within all learning environments
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional methods as needed
• Foster a positive, supportive, and structured classroom atmosphere
• Communicate regularly with families regarding progress and strategies for continued growth
• Participate actively in IEP meetings, professional development, and team planning sessions
