This full-time contract opportunity runs through the end of June and will begin in early September following board approval. The focus is on providing skilled support for Medi-cal processes within a school district environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience managing and processing Medi-cal requests is required.
  • Solid organizational aptitude and accuracy in data management.
  • Familiarity with Medicaid-related surveys and timekeeping procedures.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to liaise with special education staff and district team members.
  • Confident in conducting monthly meetings with Medi-cal representatives to ensure compliance and resolve questions.
  • Bilingual Spanish proficiency is strongly preferred, enabling clear outreach and support for diverse staff.
  • No special certifications needed, but a strong working knowledge of Medi-cal and Medicaid processes is essential.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Track and monitor random time surveys from Medicaid, verifying their timely and accurate submission in collaboration with SPED staff and district members.
  • Process incoming Medi-cal requests, ensuring documentation is thorough and deadlines are consistently met.
  • Coordinate monthly check-ins with Medi-cal for auditing and compliance reviews.
  • Support district-wide adherence to regulated procedures and stay up to date with evolving guidelines.
  • Offer responsive clerical assistance to school staff involved in Medi-cal matters.
