Key Qualifications:

  • Valid California Special Education Credential with at least Mild/Moderate Authorization
  • Experience teaching in a K-12 setting; a strong background in middle school education is highly valued
  • Ability to adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to fit individual students’ needs
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Demonstrated commitment to creating a safe, nurturing classroom culture

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to students with diverse learning profiles in both individual and small group settings
  • Develop and implement IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) in collaboration with families and related service providers
  • Assess student progress regularly and modify instructional approaches as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings and parent conferences
  • Foster an inclusive, positive classroom climate that encourages student participation and builds self-esteem
  • Support the school community by contributing to projects, activities, and school events
