Special Education Teacher - Parachute, Colorado

As a valued member of the special education team, you’ll work exclusively onsite in a mainstream school setting, focusing on a caseload of approximately 25–30 students. Collaborating with other educators and support staff, you will help nurture each student’s abilities and well-being throughout the academic year.

Qualifications:

• Current, active Colorado Teaching License
• Valid Special Education Endorsement
• Previous experience or comfort working with mild/moderate special needs
• Willingness to provide assistance with toileting needs, as necessary
• Adaptability and commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive environment

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, individualized instruction tailored to students with diverse needs
• Develop and implement IEPs in accordance with state and federal guidelines
• Collaborate with families, counselors, and classroom staff to ensure cohesive student support
• Track and document progress, regularly communicating outcomes and strategies
• Utilize behavior management techniques while maintaining a compassionate, inclusive classroom
