Special Education Teacher - Parachute, CO

Two full-time contract positions are available supporting students with mild to moderate needs—one serving grades 6–8 and the other serving grades 9–12. Each position will manage a caseload of approximately 25–30 students, fostering growth and developing individualized learning plans within a collaborative onsite setting.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Colorado Teaching License
• Current Special Education (SPED) Endorsement
• Experience supporting students with mild to moderate needs, including behavior management strategies
• Willingness to assist with toileting needs when required
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
• Provide direct instruction and support, both individually and in small groups, to facilitate academic and social-emotional growth
• Track progress and maintain thorough documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
• Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and related service providers to coordinate support
• Establish and maintain a positive, structured classroom environment
• Participate in professional development and trainings as needed
